US State Showdown Final

This is it, everyone. It is time now to decide once and for all which of the 50 official states that make up the USA is the best of all.

A serious note before you vote, however. There's been an ongoing issue in the polls Hawai'i has been a part of that I've struggled with how to address. Basically, people not from Hawai'i keep arguing against voting for Hawai'i because Hawai'i shouldn't be a state and other states aren't currently taking part in colonialism. While it's true that Hawai'i shouldn't be a state and its sovereignty should be acknowledged, to make that argument about Hawai'i alone ignores the ongoing resistance of indigenous nations on the mainland and the complicity of settlers in the colonialism those nations are resisting. Furthermore, this is a Tumblr poll. Acknowledge the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Hawai'i, absolutely, but instead of making a performative argument about how to vote in a silly popularity contest, consider donating to Hawai'i-based mutual aid orgs, the Alaska Native Birth Worker Communities, or to organizations aiding indigenous communities in your equally illegitimate state.
